Lead producers Daryl Roth, Hal Luftig and David Mirvish present the Canadian premiere production of Broadway's Kinky Boots, the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony® Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy® Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony Award-winner for Best Score for Kinky Boots). Kinky Boots begins performances at the Royal Alexandra Theatre on Tuesday June 16. Check out rehearsal photos from the show below!

Starring as "Lola" is Alan Mingo Jr. with Broadway credits and leads in national tours (The Lion King, Shrek, Rent, Hairspray and more), Alan has worked with many of the leading theatre artists of today, and is delighted to be working with Harvey Fierstein, Cyndi Lauper and Jerry Mitchell.

Hailing from Elmvale, Ontario (a very small community north of Toronto), Graham Scott Fleming stars as shoe factory owner "Charlie Price" in the equally small community of Northampton, U.K. Graham discovered his love of music when he suddenly picked up a guitar in the last year of high school. This led him to Google musical auditions in Ontario and that landed him a role in summer-stock company, Theatre by the Bay's production of Peter Pan. He was 17 years old and he has been working ever since in theatre production both small and large. From the 120-seat Lower Ossington Theatre in Toronto, where he played leads in Next to Normal, Avenue Q and Forever Plaid, to starring in a 46-state, 5-month U.S. tour of Hair, Graham has been able to pursue his dream. He's now landed the role of a lifetime in a show he finds "incredible." He says, KINKY BOOTS is so good, "I can see it over and over again ... and I will, but from the other side of the audience."

AJ Bridel is no stranger to the spotlight. She was the second runner up in the nationally broadcast casting show Over The Rainbow on CBC TV, for which she was personally handpicked by Andrew Lloyd Webber to compete for the lead role in his production of The Wizard of Oz. Her natural talent and charm were evident enough for her to begin receiving roles in musical productions across Canada, including shows at the Stratford Festival and Drayton Entertainment. This Kitchener-Waterloo native stars as "Lauren," a factory worker who wins the heart of "Charlie".

Daniel Williston (Death of a Salesman, The Barber of Seville, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern - Soulpepper Theatre) stars as factory worker "Don". Still in her final year in Sheridan College's renowned musical theatre program, Vanessa Sears stars as "Nicola". James Kall (By Jeeves - Broadway, The Sound of Music - Mirvish, Mamma Mia! national tour, Fiddler on the Roof national tour) stars as "George".

Rounding out the ensemble are Thomas Alderson, Andre Anthony, Nicola Dawn Brook, Patrick Cook, Dan Domenech, Lisa Horner, David Houle, David Lopez, Stewart Adam McKensy, Julia Mclellan, Kristen Peace, Erica Peck, Andrew Scanlon, David Silvestri, Jivaro Smith, Justin Stadnyk, Geoff Stevens, Madeleine Suddaby, Jesse Weafer, Cleopatra Williams, Ryan Wilson and Sandy Winsby.

About KINKY BOOTS

With songs by Grammy® and Tony® winning pop icon Cyndi Lauper, this joyous musical celebration is about the friendships we discover, and the belief that you can change the world when you change your mind.

Inspired by true events, Kinky Boots takes you from a gentlemen's shoe factory in Northampton to the glamorous catwalks of Milan. Charlie Price is struggling to live up to his father's expectations and continue the family business of Price & Sons. With the factory's future hanging in the balance, help arrives in the unlikely but spectacular form of Lola, a fabulous performer in need of some sturdy new stilettos.

With direction and choreography by two-time Tony® Award-winner Jerry Mitchell (Legally Blonde, Hairspray) and a book by Broadway legend and four-time Tony® Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (La Cage Aux Folles), Kinky Boots is the winner of 6 Broadway Tony® Awards including Best Musical, Best Score and Best Choreography.

The design team for Kinky Boots includes Tony® Award nominee David Rockwell(Scenic Design), Tony® Award-winner Gregg Barnes (Costume Design), Tony Award-winner Kenneth Posner (Lighting Design), Tony® Award-winner John Shivers(Sound Design), Josh Marquette (Hair Design), Stephanie Gorin and Telsey + Company/Justin Huff, CSA (Casting), with Musical Supervision and Arrangements and Orchestrations by Tony and Grammy Award-winner Stephen Oremus.
