CHRIS, MRS., bills itself as a musical version of a Hallmark holiday movie, and it does exactly—and I mean exactly—what it says on the tin. If you are a lover of Hallmark family entertainment, you’ll be over the moon for this show. It boasts entertaining lyrics, killer dance moves, adorable children, and a quirky, can-do spirt. That also means that it has ALL the parts of a Hallmark movie, for better or for worse.

At a press conference held at Meridian Hall, the Toronto Alliance for the  Performing Arts (TAPA) announced 228 nominations for the 43rd Annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards, which recognize excellence in professional theatre, dance and opera in Toronto for the 2022-2023 season. Also announced at the press conference was the recipient of the Province of Ontario’s Pauline McGibbon Award.

Following the YouTube series, My Little Pony: Make Your Mark will premiere May 26th on Netflix, with a bonus 44-minute animated special teasing the “mane” series, to debut in September. The series will consist of eight, 22-minute episodes, and will “follow the Mane 5 on a journey of self-discovery told through action-packed, hilarious, and heartfelt stories.” The second special, My Little Pony: Winter Wishday, is set to debut on Netflix on November 21st.

After 23 years of holiday cheer in Toronto's historic Elgin Theatre, Ross Petty Productions' 2019/20 Family Musical is moving to the Winter Garden Theatre on the 6th Floor of the same venue. The Winter Garden has a uniquely magical forest setting that inspired the creation of our brand-new 24th production, LIL' RED ROBIN HOOD, onstage November 29, 2019 to January 4, 2020.

Complete casting has been announced for Anne of Green Gables-The Musical at The Charlottetown Festival. The Adam Brazier-directed production is undergoing a major three-year revival, with new sets, costumes, sound design, even a new Green Gables house, and many more surprises to be unveiled over the next three summers.

It's School Again! for Aaron Hastelow. The Islander will return to The Charlottetown Festival this summer for his second stint as Avonlea sweetheart, Gilbert Blythe.
