The Toronto Star writes that the Canadian premiere of the Tony Award-winning KINKY BOOTS, which opened June 28 at the Royal Alexandra Theatre, has been extended through November 8, 2015. Tickets for the added six weeks of performances go on sale July 6.

There's a party happening every day at The Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto - and that party is the Canadian production of Kinky Boots which opened Sunday night. The mostly Canadian cast, save for American newcomer Alan Mingo Jr. as Lola earned a standing ovation from the opening night audience.

American Broadway touring vet Alan Mingo Jr. stars as Lola - the role originated by Billy Porter in the Broadway production - in Toronto's KINKY BOOTS, while Graham Scott Fleming plays Charlie Price, the young man who inherits a shoe factory from his father, only to learn it isn't financially stable.

Lead producers Daryl Roth, Hal Luftig and David Mirvish present the Canadian premiere production of Broadway's Kinky Boots, the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony® Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy® Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony Award-winner for Best Score for Kinky Boots). Ross Petty's annual pantomime has become, if anything, a tradition and staple in Toronto of the holiday season. As downtown storefronts are transformed from 'pumpkin spice' to 'naughty or nice,' the cast and creative team at Ross Petty Productions work on their whimsical, magical, and hilarious takes on traditional children's stories.

Stepping in to share the ugly crown with punked-out evil stepsister Shakiki, played by Cleopatra Williams (Jersey Boys, We Will Rock You), is Petty Panto alumni Bryn McAuley. Bryn landed her breakout role at the age of seven playing the title character in the animated tv series Caillou, and has since gone on to voice more than 40 different characters.

Ross Petty Productions will present CINDERELLATHE GAGS TO RICHES FAMILY MUSICAL!, beginning tonight, November 21 at Toronto's Elgin Theatre.
