ArtsEmerson has announced that Born for This - A New Musical will take the stage this summer for a limited engagement, June 15 - July 15 at the Emerson Cutler Majestic Theatre, 219 Tremont St, Downtown Boston. With original music and lyrics by six-time GRAMMY® Award-winning icon BeBe Winans book by Charles Randolph-Wright, BeBe Winans, and Lisa D'Amour, and direction by Charles-Randolph Wright (Motown the Musical), Born For This celebrates the incredible true story of BeBe Winans - a young man who follows his heart and finds his destiny.

On this day in 2013, Motown the Musical opened at Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. 

MOTOWN cast members talk about establishing a connection to the 1960s and gaining perspective while touring the country.

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT)'s upcoming production of LES MISERABLES, directed by Terrence Mann and starring Mann as Inspector Javert, a role he originated on Broadway and for which he received his first Tony Award-nomination, begins later this month. Performances of LES MISERABLES begin on May 28, 2015 and continue through June 7, 2015 at Connecticut Repertory Theatre's Harriet S. Jorgensen Theatre. KINKY BOOTS, featuring music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper, was the winner of this year's Grammy Award for 'Best Musical Theater Album.' The honor was given out at the GRAMMY pre-show ceremony and accepted by Lauper. Watch the musical take home the award below!

On December 16th, Broadway star, Saycon Sengbloh (Motown The Musical / Fela), released her new single, Be Here, from her upcoming album.
