A Christmas Carol returns to Cygnet Theatre for its sixth season of cheer. It has become a true holiday favorite, with San Diegans making Scrooge, the Spirits, and the Cratchit family part of their holiday tradition. And for the first time, Cygnet Theatre is pleased to add a sensory friendly performance to the schedule. The family-friendly musical runs November 27 - December 29 at Cygnet Theatre in Old Town. Opening Night for Media is Saturday, November 30 at 8:00pm. 

Theatre Royal Bath Productions today announces full casting and tour dates for a new production of Daphne du Maurier's psychological thriller My Cousin Rachel, adapted by Joseph O'Connor and directed by Anthony Banks.

Award-winning puppetry innovators, Blind Summit (London, UK), are delighted to announce that they have been commissioned by the Los Angeles Philharmonic to present Sergei Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf at the Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles, on Tuesday 20 August 2019. It is part of a Russian programme for the orchestra's Classical Tuesday Series, conducted by Bramwell Tovey and narrated by the critically acclaimed stage and film actor John C. Reilly.

Cygnet's 2019 Summer Benefit promises to be legendary. For two nights only, the beloved Lerner and Loewe's musical Camelot comes to Cygnet Theatre for a staged concert reading. Proceeds benefit Cygnet Theatre's Artist Advocate program, which provides the financial support needed to hire the most talented artists and to pay them a meaningful wage. With book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner, music by Frederick Loewe, direction by Sean Murray and musical direction by Terry O'Donnell, the benefit takes place August 12 and 13.    

ROCK OF AGES, now playing at the Cygnet Theatre in Old Town through August 25th, is a rock 'n' roll fairytale that wants everyone to have 'nothin' but a good time.'

Season 17 kicks off with the crowd-pleasing, Tony-nominated jukebox musical Rock of Ages. Directed by Sean Murray, this exhilarating rock and roll experience runs July 2 through August 25, 2019. Opening Night for media is Saturday, July 6 at 8:00PM.

Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter Jason Mraz will headline Shane's Inspiration's star-studded gala on Friday evening, March 29th at The Beverly Hills Hotel. The 'The Greatest Playground Reimagined' celebration will be co-hosted by Carrie Ann Inaba ( The Talk/Dancing with the Stars). This spring the epic drama Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes comes to Cygnet Theatre. At once intimate yet expansive, this Tony and Pulitzer prize winning drama runs March 6 through April 20, 2019 in rotating rep. There will be two Opening Nights for Media. Opening Night for Part One: Millennium Approaches is on Saturday,March 9 at 7:00PM and Opening Night for Part Two: Perestroika is Sunday,March 24 at 7:00PM.

The San Diego Theatre Critics Circle has announced the nominations for its 2018 Craig Noel Awards. Now in its 17th year, the Craig Noel Awards honor the achievements of professional theaters in San Diego County. The nominees are chosen by a nine-member body of professional critics who write for San Diego newspapers, magazines, online publications and blogs.

Freeform announced today that Bette Midler will join Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker for the network's “Hocus Pocus 25th Anniversary Halloween Bash,” an all-star party in honor of the cult classic film's milestone anniversary. The two-hour special, filmed at the iconic Hollywood Forever Cemetery to celebrate the movie's status as a Halloween staple, will premiere on SATURDAY, OCT. 20 at 8:15-10:15 p.m. EDT/PDT, as part of Freeform's “31 Nights of Halloween” programming event.

With book by Harvey Fierstein, lyrics and music by Jerry Herman, and directed by Sean Murray with musical direction by Patrick Marion, the benefit takes place August 6 and 7.    

It may seem like every news cycle brings more stress so the Cygnet Theatre in Old town invites you to 'Look on the bright side of life' with their wonderfully silly MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT, playing through August 12th.

Billed as 'lovingly ripped off from the classic comedy film Monty Python and the Holy Grail', SPAMALOT kicks off Cygnet Theatre's sixteenth season. With book and lyrics by Monty Python actor Eric Idle, music by John Du Prez and Eric Idle, directed by Sean Murray with musical direction by Terry O'Donnell and choreography by Katie Banville, the production runs June 27 through August 5. Opening Night for media is June 30.

A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, now playing at Cygnet Theatre through April 22nd, is a romantic and wistful production that brings a lovely and poignant portrait to the Cygnet stage.
