Based on the 1958 book Mrs. ‘Arris Goes to Paris by Paul Gallico, this is the endearing story of a working class London cleaner. After catching sight of a Dior gown at the home of a client, Mrs Ada Harris is enthralled by the idea of owning her own Dior gown and sets about working tirelessly to make this dream a reality.

As BroadwayWorld reported last week, acclaimed actor and director Brian Murray, who worked extensively on and off Broadway for more than fifty years, passed away from natural causes at the age of 80.

Now playing, Steppenwolf Theatre Company presents the Chicago premiere production of The Roommate by Jen Silverman, directed by Tony Award Winner Phylicia Rashad. Ensemble members Ora Jones and Sandra Marquez star in this celebration of female friendship and midlife renaissance.

The critically acclaimed production of The Grinning Man, directed by Tony award-winning Tom Morris (War Horse) and based on the classic Victor Hugo (Les Mis rables) novel, The Man Who Laughs, has taken over Studio 1 at Trafalgar Studios from 6 December, following a hugely successful autumn 2016 premiere at Bristol Old Vic. Winner of the 2016 Susan Glaspell Award and finalist in the prestigious 2016 O'Neil National Playwrights Conference, Emmy Award Winner Patricia Cotter's brand new comedy The Surrogate, continues its World Premiere run now through March 5 at Centenary Stage Company's Lackland Performing Arts Center (LPAC).

Family life is changing, and playwright Patricia Cotter knows all about it.   In a smart and funny play about blended families, desire,  motherhood, class and sexual politics,  Cotter's comedy, " The Surrogate"  examines just how much  we can ask of our friends, our parents and our spouses,  and whether we'll get any of our important life decisions right in this new age.

The Touring Consortium Theatre Company and Royal & Derngate Northampton present Charles Dickens' literary masterpiece A TALE OF TWO CITIES, opening at Royal & Derngate on Saturday 10 September 2016, with a national press night on Wednesday 14 September, and touring the UK until November. Broadway meets fashion this spring! The June issue of Vogue (out on national newsstands 5/24) will feature a stunning fashion spread inspired by the 2015-2016 Broadway season's most electrifying productions. The issue will feature Saoirse Ronan, Tavi Gevinson, the stars of Hamilton, model Joan Smalls, Tonys host James Corden, and more.

The New York Drama Critics' Circle just presented its 2015-2016 Best Play and Best Musical: Stephen Karam's THE HUMANS and George C. Wolfe, Eubie Blake and Noble Sissle's SHUFFLE ALONG, OR THE MAKING OF THE MUSICAL SENSATION OF 1921 AND ALL THAT FOLLOWED. The selections were made at the organization's 81st annual voting meeting.

Arthur Miller's THE CRUCIBLE will return to Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street) this spring. Leading the production are Ben Whishaw (as John Proctor), Sophie Okonedo (as Elizabeth Proctor), Saoirse Ronan (as Abigail Williams), and Ciaran Hinds (as Deputy-Governor Danforth).
