Director Lisa Leguillou’s tweeked version of Joe Mantello’s original production of Stephen Schwartz (Music and Lyrics) and Winnie Holzman’s (Book) multi-award winning WICKED arrives in Sydney for the 20th Anniversary of the multi award winning musical’s opening on Broadway.

Unbound Productions Executive Director Jonathan Josephson, Artistic Director Paul Millet, and Producing Artistic Director Jeff G. Rack have announced the plays that will be included in WICKED LIT 2016, the company's 8th annual immersive theatre event that will for the 7th year take place at Mountain View Mausoleum and Cemetery in Altadena, California. The production will run from October 1-November 12, 2016 and feature world premiere adaptations of HP Lovecraft's From Beyond adapted by Trey Nichols (The Car Plays), directed by Jeff G. Rack (The Fall of the House of Usher, WL15); Anansi and the Demons adapted by Jonathan Josephson (The Grove of Rashomon, WL15, 2016 Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Festival), directed by Jaime Robledo (The Ebony Frame, WL15; Astroboy and the God of Comics, Sacred Fools); and Ellen Glasgow's The Shadowy Third, adapted by Paul Millet (The Fall of the House of Usher, WL15), directed by Bruce Gray (Black Coffee, Theatre 40). The frame for the show will be Camp Mountain View, written by Josephson and directed by Millet. The frame includes pre-show performances as well entertainment during the evening's two intervals.

WICKED, the long-running hit West End musical that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, today welcomes international Wicked star Willemijn Verkaik (Elphaba), Savannah Stevenson (Glinda), Jeremy Taylor (Fiyero); Sue Kelvin (Madame Morrible) and Olivier award-winning actor Paul Clarkson (Doctor Dillamond) to the new London cast at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. Sam Kelly returns to play The Wizard, a role he previously played in 2009/2010.Katie Rowley Jones (Nessarose) and Sam Lupton (Boq) continue in their current starring roles. Anthony Hollock, Mr. Hair, was crowned Mr. Broadway 2009 at the 3rd annual Broadway Beauty Pageant held Monday evening at Symphony Space. The popular event is the annual benefit of New York's Ali Forney Center, which provides shelter for homeless LGBT youth in New York City.

Tony Award winning stage and screen star Kristin Chenoweth appeared at the Lincoln Triangle Barnes & Noble to celebrate the release of her upcoming memoir, 'A Little Bit Wicked: Life, Love, and Faith in Stages,' on April 15th, 2009. BroadwayWorld was there as the talented Ms. Chenoweth wowed the crowd and greeted her fans!

The smash hit musical WICKED celebrated its 1000th performance at the sell-out matinee on Saturday 14 February. The award-winning musical opened at London's Apollo Victoria Theatre in September 2006 and is now in its third year. Acknowledged as 'the West End's most successful musical' (The Independent on Sunday), WICKED has already been seen by almost two million people and taken over ?67 million at the Box Office.

Only two weeks remain for Chicagoans to see WICKED, the musical phenomenon that has changed Chicago for good. Performances have been selling out but good seats are still available for Tuesday and Wednesday performances with limited availability for weekends. The WICKED drawing will continue to take place for all performances. WICKED will take its final bow in Chicago on January 25, 2009.
