New York City saw a different side of its typically conservative Mayor, Michael Bloomberg, when he donned extensions and hippie garb on stage with Broadway's cast of HAIR at the Inner Circle fundraiser dinner on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at The Hilton Hotel. In thanks, on Sunday May 23, Mayor Bloomberg honored the company with a celebration at Gracie Mansion.

Stylists from Bumble and bumble gave free haircuts to Tribe members of HAIR, including Diana DeGarmo, and HAIR fans today in an effort to collect hair clippings to be used to create highly absorbent hair booms to help contain the oil crisis in the Gulf of Mexico. The producers of HAIR recently announced the addition of six new cast members to the Tony Award-winning musical. The complete cast, all-star band and crew of HAIR gave a performance from the Tony Award-winning musical live on ABC's 'The View' on Wednesday, August 5th. The performance was the largest Broadway cast appearance in the history of 'The View,' and took place during season finale week before the show breaks for its summer hiatus.
