Who is that emerging from his borough? Today, February 2nd, officially marks Groundhog Day, the annual holiday that celebrates the legendary groundhog Punxsutawney Phil. Tim Minchin, best known for composing the musical Matilda and Groundhog Day, has released a new song. The music video for the song, titled 15 Minutes, was released by Minchin on December 31.

On this day. we're celebrating Olivier Award-winning leading man, Andy Karl. who can currently be seen in the Broadway adaptation of the classic rom-com, Pretty Woman!

On this day in 2016, the musical adaptation of the hit Bill Murray film, Groundhog Day, made its world premiere at the Old Vic in London. 

Winners for the 63rd Annual Drama Desk Awards were announced just last night at The Town Hall. In keeping with Drama Desk's mission, nominators considered shows that opened on Broadway, Off Broadway and Off-Off Broadway during the 2017-2018 New York Theater season in the same competitive categories.

Groundhog Day just passed and there was some controversy about whether or not there will indeed be six more weeks of winter. To get to the bottom of it, Jimmy Kimmel reached out to groundhog Punxsutawney Phil for some more info. Unfortunately, he was nowhere to be found, and Jimmy instead got a visit from White House spokespuppet Kellyanne Conway. Check out the hilarious clip below!

Fresh from London's Old Vic, Andy Karl is back in New York, getting ready to bring Phil Connors to Broadway. GROUNDHOG DAY will begin previews on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Broadway's August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street) and open, as previously announced, on Monday, April 17.
