The 2024 Governors Awards took place on January 9, where Mel Brooks was honored with an Honorary Oscar for his legacy of work. Prior to being presented with the award,  Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane took the stage to give a speech, and then performed a medly of songs from The Producers, including The King of Old Broadway and I Want to Be a Producer.

Sara Bareilles appeared on the TODAY Show this morning to perform a string version of 'She Used to Be Mine' from Waitress the Musical. The Tony nominee sat down to discuss bringing a filmed version of Waitress the Musical on Broadway to movie theaters. On an upcoming episode of his AMC travel series You Are Here, Colman Domingo reunited the cast of the 2008 Broadway musical, Passing Strange. The third show in the 2019 season is the Broadway At Music Circus premiere of the award-winning musical comedy The Drowsy Chaperone is now on stage, starring writeractorcomedian Bruce Vilanch and featuring a cast of Broadway veterans. In what is believed to be the world's biggest blind date, the producers of the musical ONCE in Toronto have arranged for 1,200 single people to go on blind dates on Wednesday, June 3rd at an evening performance of the Tony Award-winning musical. Below, check out this video from this event!

The world premiere production of the brand new musical comedy Bullets Over Broadway, written by Woody Allen and based on the screenplay by Allen and Douglas McGrath for the 1994 film, will begin preview performances tomorrow, March 11 and officially open Thursday, April 10, 2014 at The St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street). The new musical will be directed and choreographed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman.
