Westport Country Playhouse stages the classic comedy, 'The Show-Off,' described as a funny, surprising, and moving story of a family in upheaval when their youngest daughter becomes engaged to a brash loudmouth, playing now through June 29. Cast in principal roles are 2013 Drama Desk Award winner Jayne Houdyshell as the imperious Mrs. Fisher, and Drama Desk nominee Will Rogers as Aubrey Piper, the show-off of the title. The Language Archive will begin previews on Friday, September 24th and open officially on Sunday, October 17th, 2010 at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street). This is a limited engagement through Sunday, December 19th, 2010.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) is pleased to announce the full company for the upcoming New York premiere of The Language Archive, a new play by Julia Cho, directed by Mark Brokaw. Directed & choreographed by Robert Longbottom, Bye Bye Birdie has a book by Michael Stewart, lyrics by Lee Adams and music by Charles Strouse. Roundabout is proud to welcome back three artists who have previously worked at the theatrical institution: John Stamos, Gina Gershon and Bill Irwin.
