In addition to her “Wonderland”—a song conceived of at the Alice in Wonderland statue in New York’s Central Park and co-written with Sprague— she ends the EP with her rendition of Jeff Lynne’s “Mr. Blue Sky,” from Electric Light Orchestra’s 1977 album Out of the Blue. Said-in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. The evening's program will feature Richard Strauss's Don Quixote-with violist Miriam Manasherov and cellist Kian Soltani stepping forward from the orchestra as soloists-as well as Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5. This performance-Carnegie Hall's Annual Isaac Stern Memorial Concert-will be broadcast live on WQXR 105.9 FM.

"Into the Breeches," a play written by George Brant and directed by Nancy Bell, will be the main stage production of Shakespeare Festival St. Louis' new fourth pillar of programming, In the Works. The month-long, ticketed event, scheduled for late fall at the Grandel Theatre, will culminate the 2018 season that includes the Education Tour, SHAKE 38, the main stage production of "Romeo & Juliet" (June 1-24) and the Shakespeare in the Streets' production of "Blow, Winds," (June 15-16).
Playing through December 23 at The Players Centre is The 1940's Radio Hour, A Prairie Home Companion-type production that takes us back to the good ole days of radio, where voices and sound effects allowed your mind to wander and create a world only you could envision. Although film and television have taken that away from us and replaced it with stunning visual effects, I still like to listen to the old radio shows, especially the mysteries. This production makes you feel comfy cozy as if you were home listening, all warm and bundled up, while it snows outside.
Seven time Emmy Award-winner Ed Asner and three time Emmy Award and Tony Award-nominee Kate Burton will star in a two-week East Coast tour of concert readings of Jeff Cohen's play The Soap Myth. The readings, which will be directed by Pam Berlin and will also feature Ned Eisenberg & Blair Baker, will serve as a tribute to International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The tour will begin on Monday, January 22, 2018 in Miami Beach Florida, and will conclude on Thursday, February 1 at Hofstra University on Long Island.
