Producers Cameron Mackintosh and The Really Useful Group today announced principal cast changes for the Broadway production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, directed by Harold Prince. The longest-running show in Broadway history and one of the most successful stage productions of all-time, PHANTOM this year surpassed 11,000 performances in New York - an unprecedented feat achieved by no other Broadway show. The Broadway production has played to more than 16 million people at The Majestic Theatre (247 West 44th Street), the musical's home for more than 26 record-breaking years.

Legendary civil rights activist and author David Mixner will premiere Oh Hell No!, an evening autobiographical storytelling, in a special one-night-only event on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. Taking place at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street), Oh Hell No! will benefit Point Foundation. The Phantom of the Opera's current Christine Daae, Sierra Boggess, recently took to Twitter to remind her fans to be sure to see her perform before she leaves the Broadway show.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has announced the winners of the NYMF 2014 Awards for Excellence. Awards are voted on by the NYMF jury and the awards were presented at the closing night celebration on July 27th at Arena Events Space.

STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines and hosted by Norm Lewis, brought the best of Broadway to Shubert Alley this morning, featuring numbers from nearly 25 shows, which were accompanied by a live 12-piece orchestra. BroadwayWorld was on the scene to capture the alley-shaking performances, including Sierra Boggess and Jeremy Hays performing 'All I Ask of You' and Lewis singing 'Music of the Night'. After the show, the cast, family and creative team members headed to celebrate the night at a post show celebration at the Paramount Hotel and of course, BroadwayWorld.com was there.

On May 3rd and 4th, Mainstreet Musicals will launch its premiere festival season with the St. Louis/Mainstreet Festival of New Musicals - presenting three new musicals in concert readings at The Muny - Orthwein Hall, #1 Theatre Drive, St Louis, MO.

The Phantom of the Opera, now in its 26th year on Broadway, will welcome former 'LITTLE MERMAID' co-stars Norm Lewis and Sierra Boggess to the cast on Monday, May 12, at the Majestic Theater. BroadwayWorld has learned that while Lewis will perform in eight shows a week, Boggess will assume the usual 'Christine' schedule of six per week. Boggess will appear in all performances Tuesdays through Saturdays. Alternate Sara Jean Fordwill perform the role on Saturdays and Mondays.
