The Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC) will present MICHELE LEE with its 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award at the 31st Annual MAC Awards to be held Tuesday, March 28 at 7:00 pm at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in New York City.

Urban Stages has confirmed the line-up for this year's award-winning series, WINTER RHYTHMS 2016, which will begin tomorrow, Thursday, December 1, and will feature some of New York's best musical performances through Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Urban Stages Theatre (259 West 30th Street, just East of 8th Avenue).

The Q Returns to the Metropolitan Room this Fall. Joseph Macchia producer and creator is bringing back his talk show The Q
Joining Joseph on the panel will be Thomas Dieter and Shawn Moninger and Special Guest Host Marcus Phillips . There has been The View, The Chew and The Talk but nothing like The Q ...and it's hosted by all gay men who vary in interests, abilities and backgrounds. There's the Long Islander with a leathery past, the free-spirited southern boy with a thing for attention, and the reverend who knows a thing or two about what's GOOD. They sing, they joke, they talk, and they're up for most anything. Special guests to include singers and musicians, comics and writers, florists and sex-toy store owners, among others. Specialty Topics and more to be discussed.

The art of cabaret lost its Queen almost a year ago when the Julie Wilson died on April 5 at age 90. There will likely be a number of tributes to Ms. Wilson throughout this year and a big one is happening on March 17 at 7 pm at the Metropolitan Room, where Joseph Macchia's Cabaret Cares/Help Is On the Way charity will pay tribute to the cabaret legend with a star-studded variety show that will also raise money for the organization that supports children living with HIV/AIDS.

The brainchild of Metropolitan Room managing partner Bernie Furshpan, his General Manager Joseph Macchia, and Cabaret Scenes Magazine Publisher Peter Leavy, New York's first International Cabaret Festival (February 17-21) debuted Wednesday night at the Met Room with performances and inductions into the newly established Cabaret Hall of Fame (an actual location for Hall and its memorabilia to be determined at a later date). Clubs hosting this year's festival include The Metropolitan Room, Don't Tell Mama, The Duplex, Feinstein's/54 Below, Iridium, Joe's Pub, and Stage 72 (formerly The Triad).
