Next week's quarter finals of the 2017 "MetroStar Talent Challenge" features thirteen exciting talents vying to become the 10th MetroStar Talent Challenge winner.  MetroStar's Top 13 is a baker's dozen of singers from a variety of backgrounds, including Broadway and cabaret, as well as a number of brand new talents, like 16-year-old Jackie Mate, who are hoping to make a big splash in their cabaret debuts.

Cabaret Cares is the Award Winning benefit series that benefits Help Is On The Way Today a non for profit created by cabaret producer Joseph Macchia, Cabaret Cares is a ongoing monthly series that was created to benefit Help Is On The Way Today a non for profit organization that helps children, teens and youth living with HIV and AIDS.

Published every Monday, BroadwayWorld Cabaret writers will pick their top recommendations for shows throughout NYC during the upcoming week.

Joseph Macchia presents Free To Be Me A Kick Off To Pride! June is Gay Pride Month. And What better way then to Kick Off Pride Week with a benefit HRC and The LGBT Center in New York. Free To Be Me will be hosted by the one and only Doris Dear. The evening will feature a lineup of male performers who will sings songs they were told they could never sing because they are men. Well on the 19th we will be singing them.

Comedian-singer, Gary Northrup, brings his alter ego, Mildred Scrodum, to the Metropolitan Room in NYC on June 9th at 9:30pm for one performance of "An Evening with Mildred Scrodum and Friends" starring Gary Northrup, Hanna Burke and Joshua Bennett. Northrup's Mildred is a charming and hilarious character based on real women from Gary Northrup's childhood in the Bible Belt, where he believed there was a wild woman even in the most stalwart of Christian ladies. Mildred lives in the "One Last Time Trailer Park."

The tenth annual "MetroStar Talent Challenge" is giving itself a fresh, new look as it adds two new categories to the career-boosting competition.  This year, in addition to the MetroStar grand prize and its Special Audience Award (which was instituted in 2015), the 2017 edition of the summer tradition is adding an Innovation Award and a Best New Artist Award.

On May 21st Cabaret Cares concluded with the annual Cabaret Cares Gala evening at The Metropolitan Room. After 9 months of cabaret shows, Cabaret Cares - the main fundraising event for Help Is On The Way Today, a non-for-profit organization that helps and assists children living with HIV And AIDS in New York City - ended with successful gala evening. Stanley Martin has been performing onstage since the age of five and professionally since the age of 10. He is  currently ,as well as the original Broadway cast member,  in the Hit Broadway musical 'Aladdin'.

The Q Returns on May 18th with a new time and new location. Thomas Dieter, Joseph Macchia and Shawn Moninger welcome back guest host Billy Likken.

James Harkness (Beautiful) will make his Metropolitan Room debut in 'Fragments Of Me' on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 9:30 PM (Doors open at 9:00 PM).

As a veteran performer,  James Harkness' career thus far has ranged from small stages in casino cities to concert stages in many parts of the world to the boob tube and the silver screen having worked with the likes of Kenny Ortega, Debbie Allen, Reba McIntyre, Elijah Wood.

Joseph Macchia, founder of Help Is on The Way Today, has announced Cabaret Cares' special annual awards, to be celebrated at the May 21st Gala at Metropolitan Room. Scroll down for photos of the winners!

Joseph Macchia produced his first show in 1997 a show called Gwen Verdon and All Her Jazz, a show his brother Peter had written and starred in. Being bit by the producing bug, Joseph would go on to produce his brother's next show Judy and Me originally a one night solo show at the Duplex, Judy and Me would be turned into a play, and was booked for four nights at Rose's Turn. Where the show would wind up running for two years and then go and tour around the country. After Judy and Me toured the show took a break before returning to New York in an Off Off Broadway Run and then Off Broadway run. Since Judy and Me Joseph has created and produced numerous shows in New York City,

Now back for it's Fifth Season NYNTDQ the LIVE SINGING DRAG Contest  brings you a dozen fabulous Queens all competing for the crown. Back for her fourth season as host is the award winning Holly Dae. Created and produced by Joseph Macchia NYNTDQ features Drag Queens who only sing live.
