The Flea Announces Second Extension for SMOKE

The Flea Theater will offer a 2nd extension of Kim Davies' World Premiere SMOKE. It is directed by Flea Resident Director Tom Costello (The Wundelsteipen) and features members of The Bats, the resident acting company at The Flea. Says Producing Director Carol Ostrow, "where 50 Shades of Grey dances on the surface of BDSM, Smoke cuts to the core."

Due to critical acclaim and popular demand, The Flea Theater announces the extension of the World Premiere of Kim Davies' SMOKE, directed by Flea Resident Director Tom Costello. Extension performances will run October 9- November 9.

The Glimmerglass Festival's theater was filled Saturday night with the light sound of dancers' footsteps, the melodic voices of children and the practiced tones of adult soloists, at the premiere of Passions. This double bill is comprised of late period baroque composer Pergolesi's Stabat Mater and the Pulitzer Prize-winning the little match girl passion by David Lang. Partly Cloudy People has announced its production of Kim Rosenstock's Tigers Be Still, directed by Pirronne Yousefzadeh. Tigers Be Still will play a three-week limited engagement at the DRILLING COMPANY THEATER (236 West 78 Street, Floor 3). Performances begin tonight, May 9 and continue through Saturday, May 25. Opening night is tonight, May 9 (8 pm).
