Elmhurst Ballet Company has announced the details of Synergy, an evening of dance excerpts by some of the most influential figures in the history of ballet, including Ninette de Valois's Checkmate, widely regarded as de Valois' signature ballet and a cornerstone of the British ballet repertoire. Excerpts from Frederick Ashton's Tweedledum and Tweedledee, Peter Wright's Swan Lake, and David Bintley's Take Five also appear in the mix, and will be combined with new works, including a contemporary piece by Studio Wayne McGregor.

Griffin Theatre Company has awarded Mark Rogers the 2019 Griffin Award for new Australian writing for his play Superheroes.

Sydney Theatre Company announced last night that Nakkiah Lui is the 2018 STC Patrick White Playwrights Fellow. It was also announced that this year's Patrick White Playwrights Award recipient is Mark Rogers for his play Superheroes, which was presented as a rehearsed reading to a sell-out audience at the Richard Wherett Studio in the Roslyn Packer Theatre.

They are Daniel Pierce Bergin, Senior Producer and Partnership Manager for Twin Cities Public Television, Mark Marjala, Senior Director of Human Resources at Best Buy, Co., Inc. in Minneapolis and Tom Vitt, a partner in Dorsey and Whitney's Trial Department and Co-Chair of the IP Litigation Practice Group.
