Tony Award-winning Broadway producer, writer and performer Bonnie Comley - a UMass Lowell graduate returned to campus with her husband Stewart F. Lane to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the 500 seat theater dedicated in their name. The event included a reception on the theater's stage with the couple and UMass Lowell VIPs and community arts leaders. The evening ended with a BroadwayHD screening.

Three-time Tony Award-winner Glenn Close stars in the Broadway return of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Tony Award-winning Best Musical, Sunset Boulevard. Close made her West End debut in bravura sold-out limited engagement at the English National Opera (ENO) in April 2016, winning an Evening Standard Award for her iconic portrayal of Norma Desmond.

Just yesterday, the Actors Fund officially renamed their Manhattan residence, "The Aurora," (West 57th and 10th Avenue) at a special ribbon cutting ceremony.  The residence will now be called "The Dorothy Ross Friedman Residence."  Brian Stokes Mitchell and Chita Rivera were there for the occasion, and BroadwayWorld brings you an inside look at the festivities below!

Bay Street Theater's Curtain Up! event was held last night at Joe's Pub in New York City. It was Bay Street's 3rd Annual Spring Honors Benefit, which this year honored Bonnie Comley and Stewart Lane, and Pia and Jimmy Zankel. The 2013 Theatre Museum Awards for Excellence were held Monday night, June 3rd, at The Players Club. Honorees at the evening's ceremony included the Distinguished Service to the Theatre Award given, posthumously, to Helen Guditis and The Theatre Arts Education Award presented to Emerson College. The evening also included a special tribute to the Palace Theater in honor of its 100th anniversary. The Palace Tribute was a trip back in time to the vaudeville era. The National Yiddish Theatre - Folksbiene held their annual Cabaret Dinner November 22 at Bohemian National Hall. The gala honored Five-time Tony Award-winning Broadway producer and critically acclaimed author and playwright, Stewart F. Lane and holocaust survivor and owner of Martin Greenfield Clothiers, Martin Greenfield.

The Theatre Museum is the first and only chartered non-profit museum dedicated to the history of theatre. On Monday, November 16, 2009 two hundred and fifty people gathered at the Edison Ballroom to celebrate the 31 years of Arts Horizons. The evening was hosted by Lauren Glassberg of WABC-TV. Founded in 1978, by John Devol, Arts Horizons has presented programs to over seven million students, teachers and community members. Professional, dedicated teaching artists from Broadway, Lincoln Center and all over the world motivate young people through the arts to attain new heights of learning. The programs serve all populations PreK-12, with a special emphasis on at-risk students and those with special needs.
