Artistic Director Alex Kilgore hosted a launch party and first annual silent auction to benefit Accabonac House yesterday, July 21, 2015 at Ashawagh Hall (780 Springs Fireplace Road, East Hampton, NY). The silent auction featured art by Gibby Haynes, Jim Tozzi, and Dan Witz, with music by Invisible Familiars, and a special performance of Happy Hour by Monica Bill Barnes Company. The third edition of Art Southampton, the leading international contemporary and modern art fair for acquiring investment quality works of art opened last night with huge success, where top collectors, curators, art advisors and influencers kicked off the weekend-long event. Taking place on the 18-acre estate behind the Southampton Elks Lodge, the Platinum VIP saw over 1,500 top collectors of the East End, and throughout the elegant evening, attendance exceeded last year's VIP Preview of 4,200 guests. Over 350 guests flocked to Watermill for The Parrish Art Museum's annual Spring Fling community party, fundraiser and networking event this Saturday. Perhaps it's cabin fever or simply the thought that summer is a coming, the annual fete draws a crowd of local business professionals that relish the opportunity to greet old friends, share a cocktail with new ones and hit the dance floor all while knowing the importance of the event in raising funds for the Parrish Educational programs.

With a new installation organized for acclaimed Chelsea gallery Lyons Wier curator McNeill explores the work of eight East End (Long Island) based artists, Jack Ceglic, Tom Dash, Tapp Francke, Julia Greffenius, Nika Nesgoda, Darius Yektai, Gavin Zeigler and, of course, Jeff Muhs that share an intense investigation of personal identities.
