Pink Martini founder Thomas M. Lauderdale, in collaboration with Oregon surf music legends Satan’s Pilgrims, have shared a new single, “Night and Day,” off their forthcoming album Thomas Lauderdale Meets The Pilgrims. The LP is buoyed by Lauderdale’s sparkling piano fireworks atop the Pilgrims' iconic surf sound.

The phenomenon that is Meow Meowa?"she's an international siren, a comedienne extraordinaire and a creator of beautiful mayhema?"will return to the McCallum Theatre at 8:00pm, Wednesday, April 1. Meow Meow brings her unique brand of chaotic energy to Perth Concert Hall as she opens her three-night cabaret micro-festival Kabarett Haus as part of Perth Festival. Australian cabaret performer Melissa Madden Gray, otherwise known as Meow Meow, returns to the Sydney Opera House to join forces with the wonderful Sydney Symphony Orchestra (SSO) for MEOW MEOW'S PANDEMONIUM. Under the baton of conductor Iain Grandage, who also worked with Madden Grey to compose a number of the works, the SSO creates an often cinematic score for Madden Gray's madness.

Mervon Mehta, Executive Director of Performing Arts at The Royal Conservatory of Music, today announced the return engagement of cabaret star Meow Meow on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 8 pm, as part of the Quiet Please, There's a Lady On Stage concert series, is being re-scheduled to Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 8pm due to a scheduling conflict.

On August 7, Pink Martini performed with New York Pops at its inaugural summer series at its new home, Forest Hills Stadium. The genre-defying Portland, Oregon-based band features lead singers China Forbes and Storm Large, alongside bandleader Thomas Lauderdale and several other instrumentalists.

Evoking Rita Hayworth, a spot lit Jennifer Sheehan weaves through 54 Below towards the stage, long dark hair cascading above a body-skimming white gown replete with twinkling sequins. “I'll build a stairway to the stars . . .,” (Mitchell Parish/Matt Malneck/Frank Signorelli) she sings with stunning vocal clarity and investment that might conjure a Ziegfeld Girl. In her new show, Stardust: A Night in the Cosmos, Sheehan welcomes the “dreamers, romantics, stargazers, astrophysicists, and Trekkies” with “songs that flicker like the street lamps of eternity” with lyrics featuring stars, moons, and rose-colored hope. It's an appealing theme and one that suits the artist's fetching performance and transition from ingénue into a more mature cabaret entertainer.
