Island Theatre's annual Ten-Minute Play Festival presents sixteen works by local playwrights over two evenings, August 23 and 24 at Bainbridge Performing Arts. Eight plays will be performed on Saturday evening, and the other eight will be performed on Sunday evening. Festival goers will be invited to vote for an audience choice award for each night. In addition, an overall festival favorite, determined by the judges, will be awarded a cash prize at the end of the festival on Sunday night.

It's the unlikeliest of hit musicals about the unlikeliest of heroes - a quirky yet charming cast of outsiders for whom a spelling bee is the one place where they can stand out and fit in at the same time and where they learn that winning isn't everything and that losing doesn't necessarily make you a loser.
