It was the 7th Annual PYO Music Institute Ovation Award Presentation and, in this most unusual year where the COVID-19 Pandemic prevented the typical presentation at the Kimmel Center, this year's recipient, Susan Ohrt, was surprised at the front door of her home.
Jeannie Seely Performs At The Fifth Annual Nashville Senior Christmas ShinnDig
Country music royalty and a fifty-one year member of the Grand Ole Opry, Jeannie Seely, took the stage on Friday, December 14 at Lipscomb University's Allen Arena for the Fifth Annual Nashville Senior Christmas ShinnDig for a very special performance of "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" and "I'll Be Home For Christmas." Seely also joined Tim Atwood on his performance of "Something About that Name". Performers in addition to Seely and Atwood included Kathie Lee Gifford, Charlie McCoy, Julie Roberts, Matt Bagher, Paul Allen Coon and Sarah Martin.
IFC Unveils Five New Series in Development for Series Contention
IFC today revealed five new 'slightly off' original comedies in development: Almost Asian, a series chronicling the life of a mixed-race millennial in Los Angeles; Annika Erotica, a series following a young Colorado pastor who harbors a secret passion for writing erotic novels under a pen name; Art Thieves, an adventure comedy following three misfit criminals who fancy themselves to be the Robin Hoods of the art world; Beth, a comedy about a happily-agoraphobic man and his uneasy journey back to the outside world; and the satirical and politically provocative sketch comedy The Middle Passage. The projects join the previously announced series in development How to Rig an Election and NGO.
