To celebrate the birthday of Dusty Springfield (born 16 April 1939) further casting has been announced today for DUSTY, the landmark new musical about her life which will have its world premiere at Theatre Royal Bath in June 2018 before dates at The Lyceum in Sheffield, Newcastle Theatre Royal, and The Lowry in Salford.

Citizens Theatre Artistic Director Dominic Hill directs a new co-production between Bristol Old Vic, Citizens Theatre, Glasgow and Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse of Richard Brinsley Sheridan's The Rivals this autumn. The elegant yet earthy 18th-century comedy of manners features some of the most enduring and eccentric comic characters in British theatre and plays at the Citizens Theatre from 2 to 19 November.

Artistic Director Anda Winters today unveils Print Room's Summer 2015 season. This is Print Room's third season in its new, permanent home in London's Notting Hill, an iconic, listed Victorian playhouse which is undergoing restoration.

Alexandra Dowling, Charlotte Powell, Roberta Taylor and Harriet Thorpe will be starring in London's first professional production of St John Hankin's The Last of the De Mullins for over a century. The Citizens Theatre today announces its Autumn 2014 season including: A new production of Shakespeare's Hamlet directed by Dominic Hill and starring Brian Ferguson, Roberta Taylor and Peter Guinness; Headlong's 5-star production of 1984, transferring direct from a West End run for its Scottish premiere; National Theatre of Scotland's gutsy production of In Time O' Strife, Joe Corrie's examination of a Fife mining community; Kill Johnny Glendenning, a brutal new comedy by young Scottish writer DC Jackson; and a new production of A Christmas Carol directed by Dominic Hill.

The Traverse announces its Autumn season today, presenting a canon of world-class theatre to bring its 50th anniversary year to a close. The theatre welcomes back David Harrower's multi-award-winning 2013 Festival hit play, Ciara, directed by Traverse Artistic Director Orla O'Loughlin. The new writing festival Write Here will showcase the work of the Traverse Fifty, who have been on attachment this year.

This spring in Reunion at Jermyn Street Theatre, husband and wife team Roberta Taylor (Eastenders, The Bill) and Peter Guinness (Sleepy Hollow, Aliens 3) star together as a couple in the throes of a life or death decision.

According to Whatsonstage.com, Rupert Everett will leave the West End production of PYGMALION on AUguust 15 because of previous television commitments. Stepping into the role of Henry Higgins will be Alistair McGowan, who takes over through September 3. The production opened at the Garrick Theatre on May 25.

According to published reports, Simon Ward, who was set to play Alfred P. Dolittle in the West End revival of PYGMALION, had to pull out of the production because of a virus. While his understudy, Brendan Hooper, will replace Ward for now, an announcement is expected to be be made later today with the news of a new actor joining the show. The show is still on track to open on May 25.
