Write Out Loud - an organization founded in 2007 with a commitment to inspire, challenge and entertain by reading literature aloud for a live audience presents Words and Music, the fifth production in their American Season XI, a season that focuses on American stories by American authors. Write Out Loud Story Concerts bring literature to life - aloud - with rehearsed readings by professional actors. Each program explores specific themes by weaving a variety of stories and poems together into a literary tapestry. Patricia Freund, Lileth Freund, Sandy Campbell, Kurt Norby, David Fenner and Walter Ritter will perform. Mark Danisovszky will accompany on the keyboard. A complimentary pre-show reception starts at 6:15pm with a 7:00pm curtain.

Almost everyone loves Christmas. Almost, since there is The Grinch and an old fellow named Ebenezer Scrooge. The latter is the main character in Charles Dickens' novel titled 'A Christmas Carol.' His story is quite popular, not just among literature fans, because it served as inspiration to some TV shows, movies, and, of course, musicals. Scrooge is the grumpy, greedy old man who had a change of heart during Christmas day, after being visited by three Ghosts of Christmas.

West End revival of MISS SAIGON alums Ela Lisondra and Ariel Reonal are featured in the Manila production of the smash rock musical AMERICAN IDIOT by Green Day, which closes tonight at the Globe Iconic Store, Bonifacio Global City.

Two original Filipino musicals 'Sa Wakas,' which features the songs of the alternative rock band Sugarfree, and 'Rak of Aegis,' which highlights the songs popularized by the rock band 'Aegis,' have succeeded and won the hearts of many nonregular theatergoers, especially the Pinoy rock music fans. 9 Works Theatrical and Globe Live's rock opera AMERICAN IDIOT by Green Day follows the same winning formula. When mobile network giant Globe and professional theater company 9 Works Theatrical ('La Cage Aux Folles,' 'The Last Five Years') decided to stage together punk rock band Green Day's sung-through rock opera, 'American Idiot,' at the new Globe Iconic Store in Bonifacio Global City starting on Friday, June 24, newly announced cast members Jason Fernandez, Miggy Chavez, Mako Alonso, and Mark Tayag have been in cloud nine since their auditions because they are huge fans and they love the music of Green Day.
