Not too often does an evening in the theatre take me back to the days of NYMF (New York Music Festival), when my brother Tom Kitt and his college friend/lyricist Brian Yorkey workshopped a little show with a small band called Feeling Electric into a fully-realized musical with tremendous heart.

With a tap-happy cast and a score chock-filled with American songbook classics, Bucks County Playhouse presents the quintessential backstage musical comedy '42nd Street' through August 4, 2018. Bucks County Playhouse's star-studded revival of Robert Harling's saucy Southern comedy STEEL MAGNOLIAS, directed by four-time Oscar nominee Marsha Mason, begins performances tonight, May 27 ahead of tomorrow night's official opening. MARVELL REP, which received a Drama Desk Award nomination as Best Revival for its production of THE THREEPENNY OPERA earlier this season, begins previews for Sholem Asch's GOD OF VENGEANCE on Tuesday, October 2 with the opening tonight, October 7th at TBG Theatre, 312 West 36th Street. On Monday, October 8th Frank Wedekind's play SPRING'S AWAKENING begins previews in rotating repertory at TBG Theatre. Both plays will be directed by Marvell Rep's Artistic Director Lenny Leibowitz.
