Marie originated the role of Cosette in the Paris production of Les Misérables. She has played many of the major female roles in musicals – Kate in KISS ME KATE, Sina Marnis in Pirandello’s LES NOUVELLES DE SICILE, Mrs. Barnum in BARNUM, Cornelia in LA COMTESSE DRACULA, Eugenie in LE VOYAGE DE MOZART A PRAGUE, among others. She has appeared in films and concerts worldwide as well as writing and directing.

The ensemble of performers who will comprise the chorus for the Australian premiere of the concert spectacular Do You Hear The People Sing? has been announced. Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg will travel to Australia together this week for the first time in 25 years for this extraordinary event which celebrates their iconic musicals including Les Misérables and Miss Saigon.
Through five decades of prolific collaboration, lyricist Alain Boublil and composer Claude-Michel Schönberg have graced world stages with timeless classics including Les Misérables and Miss Saigon. Two of the most successful creators of musical theatre in history, they are coming to Australia to participate in a rare “In Conversation” event, where they will share stories and behind-the-scenes anecdotes about their iconic careers, including Les Misérables and Miss Saigon.

Presented at Hamer Hall, Arts Centre Melbourne from 27-28 September, and in the transformed Sydney Opera House Concert Hall from 30 September – 2 October.
The record breaking musical from Alain Boubil and Claude-Michel Schönberg based on Victor Hugos novel is ready to open for the first time in Slovakia. The show has played in 52 countries and more than 424 cities. It has been translated in 22 different languages. The beautiful city of Bratislava will host the first slovakian production at the New Stage Theatre/ Nová Scéna . The show will be directed by Marie Zamora and Gabriela Petráková. The role of JeanValjean will be shared by Titusz Tóbisz and Petr Gazdik. Les Mis is a musical phenomenon. We are looking forward to hear the people sing for the first time in their foreign language.
