Friends, family & more got together on Sunday evening November 3rd at Haswell Green's (240 W 52nd St) to celebrate the 40th Birthday of BroadwayWorld's founder - Robert Diamond and we couldn't resist sharing a few shots!
Just last night, Feinstein's/54 Below presented the debut of Jennifer Diamond, currently co-starring in the smash hit musical RUTHLESS!. Jennifer's new show IT'S MY FIRST TIME (PLEASE BE GENTLE) was directed by Broadway veteran Richard Jay-Alexander. The two first worked together on LES MISERABLES and a number of benefits and Jay-Alexander found her uniquely talented and versatile enough to put a special spin on a debut act for her, recounting her arrival in the business, her story as an up-and-coming actress and all the good (and bad) that goes with it.
On Friday evening, May 24, Playbill's Blake Ross and BroadwayWorld.com's Rob and Jennifer Diamond co-hosted the only birthday party that took two editors of two major theatre web sites to plan ... Director/Producer Richard Jay-Alexander's 60th Birthday Bash! The party, held on the third floor of theatre district hot spot Angus McIndoe's restaurant, played host to friends, family, colleagues and more, so we couldn't resist sharing some of Linda Lenzi's wonderful pictures with you. Happy 60th Birthday!
On Saturday August 27, 2011, BroadwayWorld.com's CEO/Editor-in-Chief Robert Diamond, in the midst of Hurricane Irene married actress Jennifer Hallie Rosen after a 17 month engagement. The two were introduced by a friend of Rosen's, who wasn't able to make the wedding, as a result of the weather and warnings throughout all the boroughs. The BroadwayWorld.com News Desk stayed feverish all weekend while the couple said 'I Do', as news was coming fast about theatre cancellations, schedule changes and travel advisories in addition to all things that were happening in other parts of the country and the world, not affected by the Northeast's local weather.
On Thursday, May 10th, BroadwayWorld.com hosted a VERY special screening of SHOWBUSINESS: THE ROAD TO BROADWAY, an AMAZING new documentary film that we proudly presented the night before it opens to the public!
Sunday night, December 10th at Joe's Pub at the Public Theater, BroadwayWorld.com celebrated the holidays with an exciting, star-studded concert to raise money for Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS. It also blew the roof out! Santa, his elves and everything but the kitchen sink were on show and brought cheer and cheers for all. The cast dressed to kill and thrill.
And the holiday cheer continues. After-show party pictures by Linda Lenzi at the B Bar (formerly known as the Bowery Bar). We closed the place...enough said!
As part of the '50 Plus: Forever Young' Expo, presented on Sunday, October 22nd at the Marriott Marquis Hotel from noon to 6 PM, radio host Elliott Forrest interviewed Maury Yeston, Stephanie D'Abruzzo, Robert Diamond and others for 'A Tribute to the Great White Way'
