REELZ today announced new programming for October 2020 with new original specials and the REELZ premiere of The Story of the Royals.

Judy Kaye, Julia Murney, James Snyder, Erin Mackey, Mara Davi, Nicholas Barasch, Lauren Molina, Alexandra Silber, Ryan Vona, Peter Saide, and other surprise guests are scheduled to perform at the third annual Broadway's Got Guts benefit in honor of the late, great Nancy LaMott.

After a critically-acclaimed sell-out run in New York City, playwright,  performer and activist James Lecesne will bring his inspirational solo show, The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey, to Hartford Stage from Thursday, March 30, through Sunday, April 23.  The play deftly navigates the effects of bullying and the search for identity while telling an uplifting story about love, overcoming prejudices, and being true to one's self.

Abingdon Theatre Company continues its Master Class Series with THE STORY WORKSHOP, a three-day intensive workshop with award-winning  writer and actor James Lecesne, whose work includes the Off-Broadway hits The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey and Word of Mouth. On Monday, November 2, 2015 at 6 PM at the Friars Club (57 East 55th Street, New York City), BROADWAY'S GOT GUTS will provide a spectacular evening of wonderful entertainment by Broadway's brightest, singing the wonderful standards and hits performed by the late, great Nancy LaMott on the 20th anniversary of her death, all to benefit the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.

The Friars Club was full of laughter last night as Friar Mickey Freeman was remembered by a group of comics who dubbed themselves Mickey's Kids. Comics Mike Fine and Bob Greenberg produced the event and along with Dave Konig assembled these “kids” to recreate the humor and pay respect to one of the legends in the world of comedy. Mickey Freeman also gained fame as a character actor who appeared as a regular on The Phil Silvers TV Show (Sgt. Bilko). He also appeared on episodes of Naked City, the Lloyd Bridges Show and The Equalizer, in addition to his travels as a stand- up comic. Performers at the event were, Larry Stevens, Mike Fine, Jerry Coe, Dave Konig, Jake Ehrenreich, Bob Greenberg, Marc Eliot, Joe Franklin, Paul and Goldie Dver, and 99 year old Prof. Irwin Corey.
