Once more catering to a less-than-traditional holiday crowd, the Pear celebrates the holidays with The Millionth Production of a Christmas Carol written and directed by James Kopp. This original comedy about the struggle to create art and still pay the bills previews onNovember 30, with press and Opening Night on Friday, December 1, followed by a champagne gala. The show runs Thursdays through Sundays through December 17. All performances are held at the Pear Theatre, 1110 La Avenida St., Mountain View. No flood will keep the ladies of the Charitable Sisterhood from fulfilling their sworn mission of providing relief to the homeless of Guatemala! The pastor's wife, a mother of nine, the local Yankee, a new-to-town Georgian, and a mysterious stranger all meet in the basement of the Second Trinity Victory Church to sort a monstrously large pile of donated goods while slinging quips and unravelling a mystery. This delightful comedy is a loving tribute to the power of sisterhood.

Created to showcase and support Chicago's burgeoning field of musical theatre creators, this year's festival will be held August 9 - 28, 2016 at Victory Gardens Richard Christiansen Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Ave. in Chicago. Each production will receive four performances during the Festival.
