Target Margin Theater Suspends Remaining 2019-2020 Season


In response to the recent outbreak of COVID-19, Target Margin Theater has suspended public programming for the remainder of its 2019-2020 season. This includes the Yangtze Repertory Theatre and Gung Ho Projects production of SALESMANa??ae??, Moe Yousuf's Present Shame and Further Woe, and Cities of Brass, Target Margin's annual TMT Lab festival.

After opening its first permanent home in November 2017 with an inaugural season that began a multi-year focus on The One Thousand and One Nights and then, in October 2018, launching its first curated presenting series, Target Margin Theater is announces its 2019a?"2020 season, which proudly builds on all of this experimentation and supports even more risk-taking artists and theatrical works in Brooklyn and beyond.

After opening its first permanent home in November 2017 and presenting an inaugural season that included a "tantalizing production" of Pay No Attention to the Girl, a New York Times critic's pick, Target Margin Theater (Founding Artistic Director David Herskovits, Associate Artistic Director Moe Yousuf) is pleased to announce its second season at The Doxsee. The 2018-2019 season continues Target Margin's multi-year focus on The One Thousand and One Nights, a collection of Silk Road, MENA (Middle Eastern / North African), and South Asian stories, and includes a new presenting series.

Target Margin Theater to Stage Rare Revival of O'Neill's MOURNING BECOMES ELECTRA


As the centerpiece of the Company's 25th anniversary season, Target Margin Theater and Abrons Arts Center will present a rare revival of Eugene O'Neill's great trilogy, Mourning Becomes Electra, directed by Herskovits, and running April 26-May 20. Part Greek tragedy, part family play, part history play, Mourning Becomes Electra (O'Neill's 1931 adaptation of Aeschylus 'The Oresteia') mashes myth, Freudian psychology and melodrama into an epic six hour production.
