Rubicon Theatre Company, in association with Music2Life, presents a new weeklong series of events in Ventura, California, May 8 - 13, 2017, called MUSIC FOR CHANGING TIMES: LOOKING BACK/MOVING FORWARD.

Rubicon Theatre Company has announced a benefit concert this Sunday, March 20 at 7:30 p.m. called SONGS FROM THE WEST AND BEYOND, which will feature Nashville based singer/songwriters SYLVIE DAVIDSON and TREVOR WHEETMAN (currently appearing in the cast of Rubicon's acclaimed American premiere production of THE MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE).

Presented in the style of a concert, Lonesome Traveler is performed by nine artists who create musical portraits inspired by folk immortals such as Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, The Carter Family, Lead Belly, Cisco Houston, The Almanac Singers, The Weavers, The Kingston Trio, Peter Paul & Mary and others whose music and influence changed American music - and America itself-forever.

The event was hosted by Rubicon Board President DR. ROZ WARNER and Board of Advisors' Chair/Board Vice-President JEFF SMITH, with onstage appearances by several of the directors, writers and performers for the season.

The Perry Brothers, the ever-popular family duo from Ojai, return to their Ventura home at Rubicon Theatre Company for a one-night-only benefit concert tonight, October 6 at 7:30 p.m. John and Tony Perry will be backed onstage by a band of talented artists on guitar, bass, fiddle, flute, dobro, ukulele and vocals, performing a mix of folk, country, jazz and blues favorites such as "Ventura Highway" by America, "What in the World" by David Bowie, "Lyin' Eyes" by the Eagles and "These are the Days" by Van Morrison.

Laguna Playhouse presents THE LONESOME TRAVELERS: IN CONCERT who will be performing songs from the hit show, LONESOME TRAVELER, as well as new songs, including an interactive audience sing-along, for nine performances only, August 26 through September 2 at the Laguna Playhouse, 606 Laguna Canyon Road in Laguna Beach.
