Now the beloved store is getting ready to open its doors at its new home at 266 West 39th Street (between 7th and 8th Avenues). The legendary shop's new home will be only one block away from its last location.

Before last night's special fan performance for lucky lottery winners, New York City Commissioner of Media and Entertainment Julie Menin honored the cast and creative team of Broadway's new musical 'Mean Girls' by re-naming W. 52nd Street between Broadway & 8th Avenue 'W. Fetch Street,' outside the August Wilson Theatre 245 W 52nd St., Manhattan. The cast in full costume, creative team and Commissioner gathered on the sidewalk at 5 minutes to curtain to make the announcement.

The Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) and Guitar Mash have officially launched the 2nd Annual #MyNYCSong contest, once again giving young New York musicians a chance to show off their creativity, talent, and love for their hometown. The Paley Center for Media today announced the schedule for PALEYFEST NY 2018, which will take place October 5-18, 2018. Launched in 2015, Brooklyn College's Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema will celebrate the thesis projects created by its first graduating MFA class, highlighting topics including parenthood, disability, racism, immigration, gender issues, sexuality, and aging at the inaugural Feirstein Film Festival. Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment Commissioner Julie Menin today announced that A Day's Work, a new original series on NYC Life, the City's flagship broadcast network, will premiere on Monday, April 23 at 9:00 PM. A Day's Work is a half-hour show featuring industrious, real-life New Yorkers as they go about their jobs. The show's first season will focus on careers in the arts and entertainment industries. Each episode follows three people working in different aspects of the same field to provide viewers with a sense of the breadth of jobs in that particular industry. New episodes each week will focus on different fields, including dance, publishing, and the fast-growing field of virtual reality.
