A film adaptation of Jerry Torre and Tony Maietta's The Marble Faun of Grey Gardens memoir is in the works. Torre was named 'The Marble Faun' by Edith Ewing Bouvier Beale and her daughter Edith Bouvier Beale, mostly known as Big Edie and Little Edie through the iconic 1975 documentary, Grey Gardens.

Little Edie & The Marble Faun will be presented by Off-Broadway's Saint Luke's 2nd Monday Play Reading Series as part of their 2017-2018 season. Little Edie & The Marble Faun is a mash-up of Grey Gardens, the documentary about the reclusive, half-mad relatives of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis (Little Edie, and her mother, Big Edie), who live in a decrepit, raccoon-infested mansion, and Nathaniel Hawthorne's last novel, The Marble Faun, a name Little Edie used to refer to her handyman, Jerry. In the Hawthorne novel, we meet Miriam, Donatello, and a stranger, who threatens their happy existence with a secret from Miriam's past.

On the evening of Today, September 30th, The Barn Players will be welcoming Jerry Torre, an actual cast member from the Grey Gardens documentary. Audience members may stay to participate in a post-show talkback with Mr. Torre, whose memory is also reimagined as a character in the award-winning musical.
