For over two years, the Chicago-based Candle House Collective has been creating non-tradition, immersive theatre for both site-specific locations and virtual enjoyment. But with the current health crisis putting live theatre on hold, their virtual plays can be especially inviting for audience members seeking an artistic connection.

For the fourth show in their 46th annual summer season, Cortland Repertory Theatre presents the psychological thriller 'Appointment With Death' adapted by Agatha Christie from her novel. Performances will run from August 2nd - 12th with evening show times at 7:30 PM. Matinees are available on August 4th, 8th and 9th at 2:00 PM. Tickets may be purchased by calling 800-427-6160 or at the CRT Box Office at 24 Port Watson Street in Cortland. Tickets are also available for sale 24 hours a day through the CRT website at www.cortlandrep.org. CRT administration warns that this is the ONLY website that is approved to sell CRT tickets. Other third-party websites will charge up to four times the set ticket price; ticket buyers are encouraged to call or go directly to cortlandrep.org to purchase tickets.

For the second production in their 46th annual season of professional summer theatre, Cortland Repertory Theatre presents the fabulous and flamboyant musical La Cage Aux Folles, which boasts a book by Harvey Fierstein based on the play by Jean Poiret, and music and lyrics by Jerry Herman. As a playwright, Fierstein is well-known for the musical Newsies and the current Broadway production of Kinky Boots; Herman is best known as the composer of Hello Dolly and Mame. While La Cage Aux Folles is a multiple Tony-Award winning musical and one of Broadway's all time greatest hits, the story is perhaps best known as the movie The Birdcage, which starred Robin Williams and Nathan Lane.

Chosen for this inaugural production is a revival of one of the most successful shows ever staged at CRT, 'Always...Patsy Cline'. Written byTed Swindley, this heart-warming, family-friendly musical features some of Patsy Cline's greatest hits including 'Crazy', 'Walkin' After Midnight', 'I Fall to Pieces' and many more. A recent show on Broadway, this new musical has a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa.
