The online concert premiere of the new musical Sticks & Stones officially took place on October 16, 2020.

The new musical STICKS & STONES premieres on Friday, October 16th at 8:00 p.m. on www.broadwayworld.com and www.broadwaycares.org. It stars Joshua Colley, Mykal Kilgore, Javier Muñoz, George Salazar, Broadway legend Audra McDonald and 135 young performers from around the world.

The online concert premiere of the new musical Sticks & Stones will feature a star-studded cast including Audra McDonald, Javier Muñoz and George Salazar when it premieres Friday, October 16, 2020, as part of National Bullying Prevention Month. Yael Silver, Robin Carus and Van Dean today released “We Are The World,” a music video featuring an all-star roster of theater artists and calling for healing and unity in the world today. Participating artists include Christy Altomare, Kelli Barrett, Andrew Burns, Nikki Renee Daniels, Jordan Donica, Rachel Eskenazi-Gold, Justin Guarini, Derek Klena, Jeff Kready, Sydney Lucas, Beth Malone, Lesli Margherita, Constantine Maroulis, Bebe Neuwirth, Orfeh, George Psomas, Anthony Rapp, Courtney Reed, Chita Rivera, Kate Rockwell, Jarrod Spector, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Ephraim Sykes, Jenna Ushkowitz and Ben Vereen.

On October 15, teens from stage and screen came together at The Green Room 42 to perform a show they created, entitled #WeHaveaVoice. They played to a packed, sold-out house, singing songs with themes relevant to them including dreams and aspirations, belonging, family, and love. Their benefit concert raised over $2,500 for Covenant House, an organization they felt is important, relevant, and in need of their help, especially after the devastating weather that caused damage to seven of their shelters. Kara Oates, Mavis Simpson-Ernst, and Lucy-Mae Beacock have all signed-on to perform in #WeHaveAVoice: Broadway's Teens, on October 15, 7:00 p.m. at The Green Room 42 in Manhattan's Theater District.

The Henri Bendel Fifth Avenue flagship hosted a NYFW benefit event for NoBully.org to raise funds and awareness for anti-bullying efforts and BroadwayWorld was there! The event was organized by Carrie Berk (NYMF 2017 Award for Outstanding Individual Performance) and the all-kid cast of the New York Musical Festival's Peace, Love and Cupcakes: The Musical. The show joined forces with No Bully this summer and was awarded a special NYMF citation for turning a musical into a full-fledged social inclusivity movement.
