Beginning March 18th the long running off-Broadway hit, Naked Boys Singing, will truly be celebrating the male form in all shapes and sizes.  Joining the previously announced David Hernandez (American Idol), is Dom Giovanni (He/Them) making their off-Broadway debut.

Since 1978, West Bank Cafe has been one of the epicenters of New York City’s theatre community, and due to the pandemic, it is on the verge of permanently closing. With Broadway dark, tourism down, indoor dining closed, and no relief plan in sight, 2020 has created a plethora of financial problems for the beloved theater district institution. 

The Dallas Opera will make the company’s popular 2019 production of Mozart’s family-friendly The Magic Flute available free for home viewing for a limited time. This fanciful, wildly colorful production was originally simulcast live in high definition to a Dallas audience at Klyde Warren Park.

At every show we do, along with our Broadway performers who come to sing with us, we also showcase a young artist who has not yet tread the Great White Way! Many of our Rising Stars go on to do INCREDIBLE things and we were so happy to be joined by some of our favorite alumni! The Dallas Opera is pleased to announce that American baritone Craig Verm will perform the role of Don Giovanni in the three remaining performances of a critically acclaimed production from Lyric Opera of Chicago.  The Charron and Peter Denker Rising Star was originally cast as Masetto in this star-studded international cast.

Season: Camille Saint-Sa ns' glorious nineteenth-century grand opera, SAMSON & DALILA, opening with The Linda and Mitch Hart Season Opening Night Performance on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. (note special curtain time), the first of five performances in the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Downtown Dallas. Saint-Sa ns' 1877 masterpiece features a tremendous ensemble cast that includes Russian superstar Olga Borodina, Clifton Forbis, Richard Paul Fink, Michael Chioldi and Ryan Kuster.

The Dallas Opera is pleased to announce that applications for the expanded Dallas Opera Guild Vocal Competition, scheduled to take place on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. (the free Semi-Finals Round, open to the public) and Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. (Finals Round) are now being accepted.
