Geffen Playhouse today announced the full cast for its encore production of The Cake, directed by Jennifer Chambers (Bed, Better), who also directed the world premiere for the Echo Theater Company in 2017. The cast features Morrison Keddie (Hamlet, A Midsummer Night's Dream) as George, Shannon Lucio (The Eccentricities of a Nightingale, American Horror Story) as Jen, Rod McLachlan (What the Butler Saw, Wait Until Dark) as Tim, Carolyn Ratteray (The Imaginary Invalid, Pygmalion) as Macy and Debra Jo Rupp (That 70's Show, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof) as Della, reprising the role for which she received an LA Stage Alliance Ovation Award for Lead Actress in a Play.

Grab your sweetheart and celebrate Valentine's Day with a memorable evening at Bainbridge Performing Arts during the two-week run of LOVE LETTERS, February 4 - 14. Prize-winning A.R. Gurney gives us a rich portrait of artist Melissa Gardner and politician Andrew Makepeace Ladd III as they take swings and misses through decades of love letters in this evocative, funny, and bittersweet story of their lives. Spilling from page to stage, LOVE LETTERS is a testament to the power of words - capturing the complexities of two hearts inextricably bound from childhood.

Bainbridge Performing Arts is partnering with the Bloedel Reserve to present an outdoor summertime performance. The BPA Shakespeare Society will perform A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM tonight, July 9 - 26 in the meadow at Bloedel Reserve.

Island Theatre's annual Ten-Minute Play Festival presents sixteen works by local playwrights over two evenings, August 23 and 24 at Bainbridge Performing Arts. Eight plays will be performed on Saturday evening, and the other eight will be performed on Sunday evening. Festival goers will be invited to vote for an audience choice award for each night. In addition, an overall festival favorite, determined by the judges, will be awarded a cash prize at the end of the festival on Sunday night.

BPA has formed a partnership with IslandWood to present an outdoor summertime performance. The BPA Shakespeare Society will perform The Tempest for one week in August at the Creaky Tree Meadow on the campus of IslandWood.
