Baryshnikov Arts Center has announced the Spring 2023 season of dance, music, and multimedia performances. Hubbard Street Dance Chicago (HSDC) company member Abdiel Figueroa Reyes was selected by the Princess Grace Foundation-USA to receive a 2022 Princess Grace Award, a prestigious honor presented to emerging talents in the fields of theater, dance and film.

The prevailing theme of ISHIDA Dance’s new work You Could Release Me is love, and the many forms that love takes. You Could Release Me is broken up into four separate dance pieces, each exploring a different aspect of how we relate to each other. The show presents a moving and honest reflection on what it takes to be open, intimate, and vulnerable.

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Artistic Director Glenn Edgerton announce three artists joining the organization's 18-member performing company: Emilie Leriche, Andrew Murdock and Bryna Pascoe. “Each is highly accomplished in both classical and contemporary dance,” says Edgerton, “and uniquely suited for Hubbard Street's active repertoire of works by major international choreographers.” All are scheduled to perform during the company's Fall Series, opening Season 36 with new works by Robyn Mineko Williams and Resident Choreographer Alejandro Cerrudo, plus repertoire by Mats Ek and Ohad Naharin, October 10–13, 2013 at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance.

The highly acclaimed contemporary dance companies Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Hubbard Street 2 return to MCA Stage for the second danc(e)volve: New Works Festival.
