The acclaimed Opus Two violin-piano duo returns to Feinstein's/54 Below for an unforgettable 90th birthday tribute to Stephen Sondheim featuring the New York premiere of A Little Night Music: Suite for Violin and Piano and Bernstein's Four Moments from Candide, both arranged by veteran Broadway director Eric Stern, and Somewhere from West Side Story, arr. Raimundo Penaforte. Special guest Broadway vocalist Elena Shaddow will join the duo in Two House Songs: My House, from Peter Pan and Take Care of this House, from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, and Sondheim's I Remember, from Evening Primrose, also arranged by Stern. The national tour of the 2015 Tony Award-winning revival of THE KING AND I, now brightening the Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts in Worcester, is a perfectly respectable production. The timeless and soaring Rodgers and Hammerstein score is beautifully sung and impeccably played by the 16-piece orchestra, and design elements (especially Catherine Zuber's elegant period costumes) effectively juxtapose the traditions of 1860s Siam against the encroaching modernization of the. But something is off balance in this Bartlett Sher directed re-visioning. The women, not the King, rule.

Kander and Ebb's Tony-nominated musical THE VISIT might have closed on Broadway earlier this summer, but according to leading lady Chita Rivera, the show will have another life overseas. Producers announced today that The Visit starring Chita Rivera will play its final performance on Sunday, June 14th(3 PM).  Previews began on March 26th and opening night was April 23, 2015.  The Visit is at the Lyceum Theatre   (149 West 45th Street).

On last night's TONIGHT SHOW, Chita Rivera revealed she wants to guest star on The Walking Dead and chats about her Tony-nominated role in Broadway's The Visit.

NBC has announced that Tony nominated actress Chita Rivera will be a guest on THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON tonight, June 4th.

As previously reported, The Visit's Roger Rees has taken a leave from his role in the new Broadway musical The Visit, with Tom Nelis stepping in for the time being. Today, producers have released a statement on Rees' departure, confirming it's due to medical reasons.

BroadwayWorld has learned that Roger Rees is currently on leave from The Visit, and in his place, Tom Nelis is temporarily stepping in as Anton Schell. No word yet on the duration of the hiatus. Of note, the star has also been swapped out for Nelis on the show's official web site. Yesterday evening, a couple that has been together for 33 years married in the best way theatregoers could hope to do: backstage at THE VISIT on Broadway.

The Visit, the final musical ever by legendary Tony Award-winning duo John Kander and Fred Ebb, opened on April 23, 2015 at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street). Tony Award-winner Donna McKechnie is the standby for the lead role of Claire Zachannassian in The Visit, currently playing on Broadway at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street). The actress recently spoke to the New York Post about acting as understudy for leading lady Chita Rivera.
