New Circle Theatre Company presents the third year of The Inferno Project, featuring world premieres of new short plays inspired by Dante's Inferno, at The Chain Theatre, 312 West 36th St, New York City.  

Milwaukee Repertory Theater presents Junk, the hit Broadway play by Milwaukee native and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Ayad Akhtar in the Quadracci Powerhouse now through February 17, 2019.  Since its Broadway premiere at Lincoln Center last year, Ayad Akhtar along with Artistic Director Mark Clements have continued to hone Junk to bring Milwaukee audiences a new, two hour no intermission riveting story set in the financial world of the 1980s.

Written by Yasmina Reza, directed by Jerry Heymann and now in performances at Urban Stages, Life x3 is New Light Theater Project's revival performance using the translations of Christopher Hampton. With a stellar cast that can navigate the paths of essentially three characters each with obvious ease, this production carefully presents nuances in character and circumstance and asks the audience to notice how and why each of the three instances is different. New Light Theater Project (Producing Director, Michael Aguirre; Artistic Director, Sarah Norris) is thrilled to present a revival of Yasmina Reza's LIFE x3, translated by Christopher Hampton and directed by Jerry Heymann. LIFE x3 begins performances on Tuesday, November 20 for a limited engagement through Saturday, December 8.  Press opening is Sunday, November 25 at 3 PM.  The performance schedule is Wednesday - Saturday at 7:30 PM; Sunday at 3 PM. The Maltz Jupiter Theatre kicks off their 2017/18 season with the Garson Kanin's screwball comedy Born Yesterday. The production stars Drama Desk Award winner Andr a Burns as ex-showgirl Billie Dawn, fresh off her recent Broadway performance as Gloria Fajardo in On Your Feet!, the musical based on the life and music of Emilio and Gloria Estefan.

Written by Andrew Bergh and directed by Abigail Zealey Bess, The Radicalization of Rolfe is inspired by the backstory of the lesser-known but vital secondary characters in the legendary musical The Sound of Music. 'Equivocation' is now on stage at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey through October 4th. Written by Bill Cain and directed by Paul Mullins, metropolitan area audiences should not miss the opportunity to see this fascinating drama.

Next up on the Main Stage, The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey will present the New Jersey premiere of Bill Cain's Equivocation. When the Bard and his troupe of players receive a royal commission to dramatize the events surrounding the infamous Gunpowder Plot, the artist must confront the demons of his past, his present, and his obligations to the truth and artistic integrity. Equivocation was described in Variety as "one of the most bracingly intelligent, sizzlingly theatrical American plays in a decade."

Lost in Yonkers  opened at Barrington Stage Company last night and BroadwayWorld was there. The show is running through August 1. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Play and the Pulitzer Prize, Lost in Yonkers is a heartfelt and hilarious coming-of-age story by America's great comic playwright, Neil Simon.  Jenn Thompson makes her BSC directing debut.  She is the Co-Artistic Director of The Actors Company Theatre (TACT) in NYC, where she recently directed Beth Henley's Abundance.

 Barrington Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, will present Neil Simon's award-winning comedy Lost in Yonkers from July 16 to August 1.  The press opening is Sunday, July 19 at 5pm.

The Shakespeare Forum follows up its acclaimed production of Love's Labours Lost last summer with its take on THE MERCHANT OF VENICE. Co-directed by Andrew Borthwick-Leslie and Sybille Bruun, previews begin today, May 22 at The Gym at Judson with opening night set for Thursday, May 29.
