New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players' 48th season will continue December 30-31, 2022 and January 7 -8, 2023 with the mounting of a Gilbert & Sullivan staple, H.M.S. Pinafore; or, The Lass That Loved a Sailor at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College.

New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players will begin its 48th season with its colorful and vivacious production of the Gilbert & Sullivan’s classic send up of Republican (in the generic sense) principles and class distinction The Gondoliers.  The she will run from Friday, October 28th through Sunday, October 30th. 

New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players will return to New York for its 47th season, and its first full production since January 2020, with one of Gilbert & Sullivan’s most famed works, The Pirates of Penzance.

Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota will return to the great outdoors with two added performances by the bay at Selby Gardens’ downtown Sarasota campus, 1534 Mound Street, Sarasota.

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announces Miracolo by Jarlath Barsanti-Jacobs and Emilio Solla as part of the 2019 TRU Voices New Musicals Reading Series on Monday evening January 14, 2019 at 7pm at the Actors Temple, 339 West 47th Street, New York, NY. Even though Sheldon Harnick was playing the violin in his High School's Gilbert & Sullivan productions… 'I could still hear the lyrics', he wrote in his alumni magazine of Northwestern University. Harnick continued, 'At that time I was turned on by the patter songs, so I began to familiarize myself with Gilbert and Sullivan. I was more fascinated by the virtuosity than anything else. Little by little, I also realized what a fine poet Gilbert was and how imaginative he was, even in the slower songs. So he became an enormous influence.'

New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players, America's preeminent professional Gilbert & Sullivan repertory company, continues its exhilarating 2017-18 Season on Saturday, April 14 (2PM) with its spring offering, Ruddigore, at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College (East 68th Street between Park & Lexington Avenues). Scenic designer Albere has been working overtime putting finishing touches on the scenery for the production design paying homage to the iconic illustrator Edward Gorey.  Ruddigore will play a strictly limited engagement April 14 & 15 with a family bonus, Family Overture Series on Sunday, April 15th at 1:45PM.
