SFO Museum at San Francisco International Airport recently unveiled a new exhibition in connection with San Francisco Opera's centennial titled San Francisco Opera: A Centennial Celebration. San Francisco Opera opens its 2022 Summer Season with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Don Giovanni from June 4–July 2 at the War Memorial Opera House. Director Michael Cavanagh's new production is the third and final chapter of San Francisco Opera's multi-year Mozart-Da Ponte Trilogy, presenting all three operatic collaborations by Mozart and poet Lorenzo Da Ponte within the same American house setting at different points over a 300-year span.

San Francisco Opera announced today repertory, casting and reopening plans for its 99th season. Commencing with a performance of Giacomo Puccini’s Tosca on Saturday, August 21, the 2021–22 Season marks the inauguration of Eun Sun Kim’s tenure as Caroline H. Hume Music Director and a reemergence of opera at the War Memorial Opera House.

San Francisco Opera presents Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro (Le Nozze di Figaro) in a new production by director Michael Cavanagh at the War Memorial Opera House, October 11–November 1. The production marks the beginning of a multi-year project to weave together Mozart and librettist Lorenzo Da Ponte's three operas—Le Nozze di Figaro, Così fan tutte and Don Giovanni—as a trilogy set within an American manor house during three time periods. Conductor Henrik Nánási leads the San Francisco Opera Orchestra and an international cast in this enduring comic masterpiece.
