Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, under the artistic direction of Glenn Edgerton, announces today, programming for Season 39 Summer Series, June 8-11, 2017 at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance. The program features a look at Hubbard Street through the decades, featuring The 40s and Georgia by Lou Conte, Twyla Tharp's The Golden Section, an excerpt from Resident Choreographer, Alejandro Cerrudo's One Thousand Pieces as well as pieces by Jim Vincent, Crystal Pite, William Forsythe, and Lucas Crandall.

Highlighting the engagement, Hubbard Street Resident Choreographer Alejandro Cerrudo's 15th original work for the company, a world premiere piece by 2013 Guggenheim Fellow and inaugural Harris Theater Choreographer in Residence Brian Brooks as well as the revival of two ensemble works by Ji?i Kylian.

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, one of the world's premier contemporary dance companies, together with event Co-Chairs Meg Siegler Callahan, Elizabeth Yntema Ferguson, Sara Albrecht and Jane Strauss, hosted the 35th Anniversary Spotlight Ball on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance in Millennium Park and the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park. The event was a major success for the organization, raising more than $1.1 million for Hubbard Street's educational, community and artistic programming.
