La Jolla Playhouse announces the cast and creative team for its 2018 Performance Outreach Program (POP) Tour production, Home of the Brave, by Lee Cataluna, directed by Honolulu Theatre for Youth Artistic Director Eric Johnson (2014 POP Tour, Suzette Who Set to Sea). The production will tour schools throughout San Diego County January 29 March 30, 2018. A new adaptation of the Broadway musical The Civil War, Freedom's Song features the words of Abraham Lincoln and music inspired by the letters of those who lived through the Civil War. The production is part of Ford's 150: Remembering the Lincoln Assassination, a series of events marking the 150 years since Abraham Lincoln's assassination at Ford's Theatre.

PINKALICIOUS, at the Adventure Theatre - Musical Theater Center, in Glen Echo Park, directed by Carl Menninger, based on Victoria and Elizabeth Kann's children's novel, and adapted by the authors, with music and lyrics by John Gregor, is a winner. Although it is aimed at young children, it has plenty to delight parents and older kids as well.

Pinkalicious, the Musical is directed by Carl Menninger, with music direction from Wayne Chadwick and choreography and movement by Michael J. Bobbitt. Carolyn Agan, who recently performed as Olive Ostrovsky in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Ford's Theater, plays the titular heroine.
