Carol Ostrow is an accomplished theatrical producer. She is currently producing the 100th Anniversary Gala for the Actors' Temple at the Friars Club. In addition, she produced the Anti-Defamation League and Broadway-Hand In Hand Against Hate For 100 Years with 15 stars of Broadway fame in 2013. Carol also produced Jewish-American Princesses of Comedy at the Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Other production credits include: I Am Anne Frank starring Andrea Marcovicci at Town Hall, Berlin to Broadway with Kurt Weill at the Triad Theatre, Scent of the Roses starring Julie Harris at the Helen Hayes Performing Arts Center. Before that, she was the creator and producer of Hot Klezmer at the American Jewish Theatre and one of the producers of After Play, written by and starring Anne Meara, Jerry Stiller, (winner of the Outer Critics Circle Award for best new playwright), as well as the musicals Inside Out starring Jan Maxwell. She also produced Greetings starring Gregg Edelman, and A Room Of One’s Own starring Eileen Atkins, (winner of Obie Award for best actress, Drama Desk, Lucille Lortel, Drama League and Outer Critics Circle Awards for best play). She co-produced Beau Jest in New York, LA, San Francisco, Wash.,D.C. and Boston. Carol’s newest venture is producing films, such as Torte Bluma, winner of four major festival awards in 2006. She also runs a group sales organization, providing tickets to Broadway shows.
In addition to being an actress, dancer, and choreographer, Carol is a dedicated volunteer and has served on the Boards of the League of Professional Women in Theatre, The Barrow Group, and as Vice President of the Board for The Women’s Project. She has also served on the National Board of the Anti-Defamation League. Carol was Vice President of the Women’s International Zionist Organization and choreographed their children’s fashion show fundraiser for 8 years. Presently she's the 1st female President of the Actors' Temple in 100 years.
