The Latinx Theatre Commons (LTC) today shared the creation and inaugural recipient of The Diane Rodriguez Teatrista Award, 'The Diane.' It is the LTC's first award dedicated to an individual working in the theatre field who is committed to increasing Latinx representation across disciplines. With this award, the LTC aims to continue the legacy of Diane Rodriguez (1951-2020), an award-winning, multi-hyphenate theatre artist who tirelessly advocated for other artists and opened doors for future leaders in the field.

National LatinX Playwriting Award winner Benjamin Benne’s stunning nee play, ALMA, launches the new theater season at the Kirk Doulas Theater and it is triumphantly resonant.

IAMA Theatre Company's production of “Canyon,” originally selected for the 2020 Block Party, will now be presented in association with Latino Theater Company on Center Theatre Group’s Digital Stage. Filmed at the Kirk Douglas Theatre, the multicamera digital production will premiere September 22 and be available on demand until October 20.

Center Theatre Group Digital Stage has announced their schedule for November 9 - November 15, 2020. 'Disgraced' premieres November 11 at 12 p.m. Pacific. Audio production streamed free to the public and available on demand until January 10, 2021

Center Theatre Group has announced the immediate launch of their newest venue, the Digital Stage, currently housing its ever-expanding library of education, community outreach and Art Goes On videos. Center Theatre Group has welcomed Casey Nicholaw, Phylicia Rashad and Paula Vogel, as its latest Associate Artists.

Rehearsals are underway for the Young Vic Production of Arthur Miller's 'A View From the Bridge' produced by Center Theatre Group at the Ahmanson Theatre. Directed by Ivo van Hove, 'A View From the Bridge' will begin previews on September 7, with the opening set for September 14, 2016. Performances continue through October 16.
