Photos: CHICAGO Receives Plaque at the Ambassadors Theatre For 27th Anniversary

On November 14, Bob Wankel of the Shubert Organization presented Barry & Fran Weissler with a plaque outside the Ambassador Theatre commemorating the show’s legacy on Broadway. BroadwayWorld was there for the unveiling. Check out photos here!
Chelsea Halfpenny Will Lead the Cast of the WAITRESS UK and Ireland Tour in 2022

Chelsea Halfpenny with join the cast as Jenna in the smash hit romantic musical comedy WAITRESS as from 10 January 2022. Chelsea will take over the role from Lucie Jones who leaves the production to move on to a soon to be announced new project.
Israeli Singer Shiri Maimon Will Play Roxie Hart in CHICAGO on Broadway

The Tony Award-winning, record-breaking hit musical Chicago, (Barry & Fran Weissler, producers) will welcome Israeli Pop Star and “The X Factor Israel” television personality Shiri Maimon – in her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart – beginning Friday, September 21, 2018 through October 5, 2018 at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St.). The announcement was made last night in Times Square at the NY Israeli Embassy's “Celebrate Israel” 70thanniversary block party event.
Tony Winner Priscilla Lopez Will Join the Cast of Broadway's PIPPIN as 'Berthe,' 7/22

Tony Award winner Priscilla Lopez, who appeared in the legendary original cast of A Chorus Line and was also a replacement for the role of “Fastrada” in the original production of Pippin in 1973, will join the all-new Tony Award winning production of Pippin in the role of “Berthe” for a limited engagement, Tuesday, July 22 – Wednesday, August 27. Annie Potts will play her final performance in the role on Sunday, July 20. Tony Award winner John Rubinstein, who created the role of Pippin in the original 1972 production, will extend his run in the show as “Charles” through Sunday, August 17. PIPPIN is now playing at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street).

The producers of PROMISES, PROMISES are thrilled to announce that Tony and Emmy Award winner Kristin Chenoweth will now be performing during 9 previously announced absences from the hit musical.
