New York Festival of Song, led by Artistic Director Steven Blier, will present its annual NYFOS Next Festival with two performances on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 19, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at the Rubin Museum of Art.

Biographical jukebox musicals are becoming more and more common. They use a singer and/or songwriter’s music to tell that person’s life story. The most recent addition to the cannon is A BEAUTIFUL NOISE: THE NEIL DIAMOND MUSICAL (now playing at the Emerson Colonial Theatre until August 7th). 

Left and Right is a collaboration among composer/performer Molly Joyce (2021 Toulmin Fellow), choreographer/dancer Jerron Herman, writer/audio describer Max Greyson, director Austin Regan, and choreographer Brandon Kazen-Maddox that examines historical myths of the traditionally cursed and dark left (sinister) side of the body and its relationship to the right-hand side, which was considered healing and beneficent.

Both before and throughout the pandemic, National Sawdust’s mission has been to provide artists with financial and creative opportunities, audiences with access to groundbreaking work presented in remarkably high fidelity, and to support young creators by means of a rigorous mentorship network. These three goals serve as the inspirations for The Future Is… Festival, which takes place June 7 through June 16, features work by 6 composers and choreographers developing new work through residencies co-produced with the Center for Ballet and the Arts at NYU, and funded by the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation.

Nimble, resourceful, and transformative, the Guerillas of Boston celebrate their 15th Anniversary Season with live world premiere productions and virtual streaming performances, offering audiences unique access to never before seen works in a whole new light!

Anderson. PROXY will play October 20 – November 24, 2019 at Underscore's newly-remodeled, permanent home, The Understudy, 4609 N. Clark St. in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood. FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents an evening of emerging songwriter, Alexander Sage Oyen's work. 

Boulder-based Local Theater Company(Local) announces selections for its eighth annual Local Lab New Play Festival taking place March 15-17 at Dairy ARTS Center, including 'Flame Broiled. or the ugly play,' by Broadway actor and Colorado resident Rodney Hicks, 'Discount Ghost Stories' by Alexander Sage Oyen and Colorado resident Jessica Kahkoska, and 'Orange Crush' by Daniel Goldstein, presented in partnership with Roundabout Theatre in New York City.

On Sunday, October 21, the company of the new Broadway musical HEAD OVER HEELS, featuring the music of The Go-Go's, celebrated 100 performances at the Hudson Theatre.  The cast was joined by Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day; American Idiot) at the post-matinee champagne toast next door at Hunt & Fish Club, with a special 'Arcadian' royal cake by Broadway baker, Cute as Cake.
