On June 2, BroadwayWorld was there for Kristin Chenoweth's live concert tour at NYC’s City Center. The star, one of Broadway's greatest recent exports, has in her cast: Tyler Hanes (who did DANCING WITH THE STARS with her), Chelsea Packard (who was in PROMISES, PROMISES with her) and Will Taylor, who she saw in THE PRODUCERS. The concert tour is directed byRichard Jay-Alexander with musical direction by Mary Mitchell Campbell. Check out our full photo coverage here!

More than 20 years after its premiere, Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens have re-invented their first musical with Tony-nominated director Thomas Kail (In the Heights, Lombardi, Magic/Bird), choreographer Bradley Rapier (So You Think You Can Dance, Jesus Christ Superstar) and new orchestrations by music director Lynne Shankel (Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Altar Boyz). The 68th annual Theatre World Awards were just held on June 5th, 2012. The winners for Outstanding Broadway or Off-Broadway Debut Performances during the 2011-2012 theatrical season were: Tracie Bennett (End of the Rainbow), Phillip Boykin (The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess), Crystal A. Dickinson (Clybourne Park), Russell Harvard (Tribes), Jeremy Jordan (Bonnie & Clyde) and more! Click here for more photos from the celebration!

Starvox Entertainment and Potted Productions are presenting the US premiere of the Olivier Award nomintated UK production, POTTED POTTER: The Unauthorized Harry Experience – A Parody by Dan and Jeff. Potted Potter has played to sold out houses in Toronto, London, Edinburgh, Australia and New Zealand, and made its US debut on Saturday May 19th at the Little Shubert Theatre. The production celebrated its official opening night on June 3rd, and you can check out coverage here.

Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus’ MAMMA MIA! welcomed new principals Christy Altomare, Lauren Cohn, Daniel Cooney, Felicia Finley, Aaron Lazar, Graham Rowat and Zak Resnick who join Judy McLane as “Donna Sheridan” at the Winter Garden Theatre on June 4. On June 5, theatre legend Patti LuPone opened the new nightclub and restaurant, 54 Below, with a two-week engagement of a new act that will run through June 16. LuPone will play the venue Tuesdays through Saturdays at 8pm and Fridays and Saturdays at 11pm. Lost In Love, the new musical based on the hit songs of Air Supply, played the Triad Theatre on June 5. The production last held an industry-only reading in April. Andrea McArdle, Constantine Maroulis and Justin Matthew Sargent returned to star in this latest installment of the production.
