ContemporaryMusicalTheatre.com produced their second 70-minute virtual concert on Monday, August 3 at 7 PM (EST) in support of Black Theatre United. 

Chris Isaacson Presents in association with The VFC Project presented #Hash(tag) America at Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood. #Hash(tag) America is a new theatrical musical, an urgent urban rock concert, and a soul stirring personal testimonial all rolled into one powerful explosion of sound, youth, diversity and truth. 

The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present Aladdin star Telly Leung in a new concert, "Sing Happy," on Monday, November 11.

Writers Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma, opens its 2018/19 season with Qui Nguyen's Vietgone, directed by Lavina Jadhwani, featuring original music and music direction by Gabriel Ruiz and choreography by Tommy Rapley. Vietgone runs August 15 - September 23, 2018 in the Alexandra C. and John D. Nichols Theatre at 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe. The Press Opening is Wednesday, August 22 at 7:30 p.m.

ENSEMBLE STUDIO THEATRE (EST) presents the World Premiere of BUMP, written by Chiara Atik and directed by Claudia Weill. Part of the EST/Sloan Science & Technology Project, BUMP opens May 17, for a limited run through June 3, 2018.

Thommie Retter (Billy Elliot) and Retter Entertainment ring in the holidays for the HOW MANY consecutive year with This Way To Broadway Live: Jingle Jam!, an original musical/song and dance showcase for audiences of all ages on Sunday, December 4 at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theatre, 10 West 64th Street. The show brings together talented kid performers from the stage and screen-many of whom have already appeared on Broadway and on tour-and others who are Broadway bound. The script was penned by mother/daughter writing team Sheryl Berk and Carrie Berk (Peace, Love & Cupcakes: The Musical; Fashion Academy: The Musical) with original songs by Thommie Retter and Rick Hip-Flores (In Transit; Fun Home; Billy Elliot). Kansas City Repertory Theatre welcomes celebrated Latin American film, television, and music star Mauricio Martinez in the iconic role of Che in the musical Evita, directed by KC Rep Artistic Director Eric Rosen and starring Mariand Torres, playing the role of Eva Peron, who will be making her Broadway debut in the production of In Transit this fall. Evita runs through Oct. 2, at KC Rep's mainstage Spencer Theatre, located on the UMKC campus. Opening Night is this Friday, September 16, and BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!
